Jewels of the Nile II, another sizzling Cavemen anthology from Ellora's Cave, released today. It's available both in print and as a download. I'm in fantastic company. There are six sizzling by talented Ellora's Cave authors.
Here's a blurb for SUNRISE:
Caroline has been meeting Alan at the lake, at sunset, for months. The hot sex they’ve been enjoying started out mindless and anonymous, just the way she wanted it. Little by little, however, they’ve gotten to know and care for each other. Caroline fears the changes in their relationship she can’t seem to prevent.
Alan wants Caroline in his life. He sets out to seduce her with his voice, his hands, his body. He’s no longer satisfied with sex in the shadows and he wants more. Can he make Caroline feel the same?
An interesting fact about SUNRISE is that while I was writing, I had no idea that the hero was English until he first spoke and his voice sounded just like Alan Rickman's. So, of course, I named him Alan. You can check out an excerpt and/or buy your very own copy of Jewels of the Nile II here. I hope you enjoy Caroline and Alan's story - and all the other hot stories in Jewels of the Nile II.

The Passion-Minded Professor will be available tomorrow, June 17th, from Samhain Publishing! I love this story of two opposites who attract. I referred to this as my "love potion" story for years. I'm so glad readers will now have a chance to meet Roxy and Daniel and watch them fall in love. Here's a short excerpt to tease you:
Roxy watched Dr. Jennings scribble more words in a tattered old notebook. His desk was a disaster area. How could he find anything in the freaking mess of books and papers and who knew what else was hiding in there?
He was cute, in an absentminded kind of way. He kinda made her want to take care of him, like the lost puppies she used to try to bring home when she was a little girl.
Whoa! Take care of him? Roxy took a step away. What on earth was she thinking? Hadn’t she had enough, taking care of Todd all those years? And for what? Years of empty promises followed by divorce papers.
This was her time. She was finally in control of her own life, finally getting the education she’d always wanted. She wasn’t taking care of anyone but herself for at least the next four years.
While Dr. Jennings kept writing, Roxy wandered around the lab. In contrast to his desk, the rest of the room was immaculate. Spotless. Sterile, even. Test tubes of all sizes sat in racks along one counter and there were also a bunch of shiny equipment she couldn’t even begin to name. Or imagine what they did. Long rows of intimidating lab tables filled the rest of the large room.
It was so quiet in here it was almost spooky. Roxy liked to crank up music as loud as she could in order to concentrate. Hard rock that drove Gina crazy. Roxy liked to think the music forced all extraneous thoughts out of her mind when she was studying.
Gina said she thought Roxy didn’t like the silence because it left her alone with her thoughts.
Roxy didn’t want to think about that right now.
She was much more interested in looking at the attractive professor. He really was a hunk, with his strong jaw and chiseled features. His golden brown hair was thick and a little wavy. She was almost close enough to run her fingers through it before she caught herself.
What on earth? No way. She wasn’t getting distracted by a good-looking guy. She hiked the strap of her book bag farther up her shoulder and put her hands behind her back before she actually reached out and touched him.
Come back tomorrow for the buy link, or stop by the Samhain website tomorrow to check it out!

Jewels of the Nile II, the second in the 2008 Cavemen anthologies from Ellora's Cave will be released next Friday, June 20th! My short story, SUNRISE, is included in this volume. Here's the blurb and a little excerpt to whet your whistle.
Caroline has been meeting Alan at sunset for months. The hot sex they’ve been enjoying started out mindless and anonymous, just the way she wanted it. Little by little, they’ve gotten to know and care for each other. Caroline fears the changes in their relationship she can’t seem to prevent.
Alan wants Caroline in his life. He sets out to seduce her with his voice, his hands, his body. He’s no longer satisfied with sex in the shadows and wants more. Can he make Caroline feel the same?
He carries me to his nearby car. A large dark sedan. I’ve never paid attention to makes and models, but I recognize luxury. I sink into the soft leather seat as he sets me down, then he sneaks a kiss, hot and hungry, before he buckles me in and closes the door. I shiver, suddenly feeling more nervous than I’d ever been with him. Those butterflies I thought I’d left behind as a teenager flutter in my stomach.
He climbs in beside me and starts the car. The vibration of the engine buzzes through my body, starting with my bare feet on the carpeted floor and shooting up to my bare ass on the warm leather seat. Rich classical music floods the car. Of course he would have an incredible sound system.
“I love this piece.” I try to keep my voice light and my mind off the fact that we are actually going to his place. That I’ll be getting a glimpse of him that I’ve never wanted to see. That the more I know about him, the harder it will be to say goodbye.
He stops with his hand on the gear shift. I feel him staring at me although his face is merely a play of shadows. “I thought you didn’t listen to classical music.”
“I bought the CD, all right?” The moment he left on tour. “This piece is my favorite.”
I shrug. “Why did I buy the CD? Or why is this my favorite?”
“Both, I guess.”
“I bought the CD because I wanted to hear you play,” I admit. And listening to his music soothed my lonely days as I painted sunsets and gardens and Alan. “I love the passion in this piece. It lights a fire under my skin.” I pause and swallow to moisten my suddenly dry mouth. “Like you do.”
He combs his fingers through my hair and pulls my head to him. When his lips crush mine, they feed the fire burning within me. His mouth is hot and insistent, demanding from me the same passion.
Passion has never been my problem.
He drags his tongue along my lips. I open my mouth to his unspoken request and he plunges inside, probing and stroking and licking. A moan escapes from deep in my throat and I feel, more than hear, his answering groan.
Be sure to check out Jewels of the Nile II when it becomes available next week!

My latest contemporary romance will be released as a download by Samhain Publishing next Tuesday, June 17th!! The heroine, Roxy, is one of my favorite characters and I was so excited to give her her happy ending! Here's the blurb:
Can passion be found in a bottle?Roxy Morgan is finally in control of her life. After working in the family diner to put her now ex-husband through law school, she’s getting her own chance at a college education. She doesn’t need any distractions in her life right now, especially men. The strong magnetic pull she feels toward chemistry professor Dr. Daniel Jennings is more than just an annoyance—it’s threatening her GPA. Yet she can’t seem to keep mind on her studies, or her hands off him.
Driven, lonely Daniel has been working to perfect an attraction elixir so he can finally find what’s been missing in his life: Passion. Sassy, outgoing Roxy wasn’t supposed to be part of his experiment. It was purely an accident. Now his elixir has given him an unexpected side effect—he’s fallen in love. But his sense of honor nags him to tell her the truth about the “love potion.”
Even if it means risking the best thing that’s ever happened to him.
Be sure to check out Roxy and Daniel's story next week!

Wow, I had no idea it has been a month since I posted here. I could give excuses like edits for two manuscripts and a ten day vacation to the Outer Banks and a bout with the flu...but I hate excuses! So let's just go on from here.
I have two releases coming out in June and one in July, so I'm going to be busy this summer. I got two covers e-mailed to me today, so that was fun! I love seeing the covers - makes the book seem more real. I'm sharing one with you today. It's the cover for Jewels of the Nile II which includes my story SUNRISE. I love the blue cover and the hunk's not half bad either! Look for it later this month!!!
I also sold two new novellas to Ellora's Cave in the past couple weeks, so I'll be sharing some blurbs with you soon.
I promise not to go another month without posting. That was way too long!
